Saw winter aconite and snowdrops in bloom down in the allotment gardens today - same place as usual, there's this one particular south-facing flowerbed full of winter aconite that is always the first one out. I will probably not see any flowers in my own garden for another two or three weeks at last, though, the sun doesn't even reach over the tops ( Read more... )

Well, a tiny, insignificant one, at least - I'm touching up my roots with semi-permanent colour, no more permanent black hair dye for me. It's still a two component colour, so I'm not sure if it will make much of a difference, but I hope that it will make the process easier if/when I decide to go blonde ( Read more... )

The family has been in fine fettle the last few days - grandma dropped her hearing aid in her morning bowl of cereals and almost cracked a tooth on it, I managed to give myself some involuntary electric shock treatment the other day and my father has congratulated my mother on her birthday for the first time in 28 years. I am drunk. A is drunker, though, and although I'm pretty sure that's not the correct comparative form of drunk, I can't be bothered to look it up. Sorry, will probably keep pestering you with these for a while - you see, I did retrieve some folders from an old hard drive. Not my oldest one, but there were still a lot of very old photographs on it that I haven't seen in years, hence the nostalgia.

My grandmother wants all of her old photo albums scanned, so I will probably post a few old family photos here - there are great clothes in some of them.
